Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use RunIRL. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Description of Service

RunIRL provides:

• AI-powered motion tracking that uses your device camera to track indoor running in place
• Real-time step, pace, and running-form feedback
• Daily missions and rewards, including XP and coin rewards
• A level system with XP progression, avatars, and a skill tree
• Timed Boss Battle challenges and unlockable achievements
• Global and weekly leaderboards with ranked tiers
• Progress tracking, run history, and consistency streaks
• Shareable run recap cards
• Optional Apple Health integration

Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are offered on a weekly ($2.99/week) or yearly ($29.99/year) basis, as selected at checkout
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID (App Store) or Google account (Google Play) at the time of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price unless otherwise communicated in advance
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings or Google Play subscription settings
• No refund will be issued for the unused portion of a billing period if you cancel mid-cycle, except as required by applicable law or App Store / Google Play policy
• Prices are subject to change; we will provide notice of any price changes before they take effect for existing subscribers, in accordance with App Store and Google Play requirements

Managing Your Subscription

Subscription purchases are managed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. To cancel, turn off auto-renewal, or request a refund, please use your device's subscription settings or contact Apple/Google support directly, as we do not have the ability to process payments or refunds on their platforms.

User Content

"User Content" includes camera footage captured during runs for motion tracking, run data, messages, and any other information you provide. By using the Service, you:

• Confirm that any camera footage you generate is of yourself and that you have the right to use it within the App
• Grant us a limited license to process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service to you
• Retain ownership of your User Content; we do not claim ownership over your footage or personal data
• Understand that AI-generated step counts, form scores, and recommendations are automated outputs and are not medical or professional fitness advice

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App to record or track anyone other than yourself, or to record minors
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the underlying AI models or source code
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate others, including via leaderboard display names
• Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, obscene, or infringes on the rights of others

Health & Fitness Disclaimer

Leaderboard & Public Features

If you choose to participate in the leaderboard, your display name and run stats (not your camera footage) may be visible to other users of the App. You may opt out of leaderboard participation at any time in app settings.

Intellectual Property

The Application, including its design, features, AI models, graphics, and content (excluding your User Content), is owned by the RunIRL Team and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Application without our prior written consent.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Application and delete your account at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any unused subscription period, except as required by law or platform policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated tracking data or recommendations will be accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the RunIRL Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Application, including reliance on any step count, form score, or fitness recommendation, or any injury sustained while using the Application.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date, and where required, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the RunIRL Team operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
